What is the difference between fire rated insulated and fire rated non-insulated doors?
For what applications is each appropriate?
Insulated fire rated access doors are insulated with 2" of mineral wool and are approved for wall and ceiling applications. Our insulated doors meet specific test standards required by many building codes. Non-insulated fire rated access doors are not insulated with wool and are approved for wall applications. The appropriate application for each type of access door varies on local building codes.
